July 17th Update from Holy Trinity

July 17th Update from Holy Trinity

Dear Faithful,

As previously announced this week, Holy Trinity is returning to our schedule of Liturgical Services this weekend.

We will have Vespers on Saturday evening (6:30) and Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning (9:30). These services will be live streamed on our YouTube channel - Holy Trinity Poconos.

Our State Government has asked us all to step back a bit from the reopening of the economy and to limit inside gatherings to 25 people. This directive does not apply to places of worship, nonetheless, at Holy Trinity we will follow along with the rest of our communities and limit our participation this weekend to 25 people.

Here are important things to follow at our parish:

1.  Face masks must be worn throughout the services ... even if you are social distanced within the Church building.  Please let me know if there are reasons why you are unable to wear a face mask.

2.  Social Distancing must be observed while at the Church. This especially includes receiving wine and prosphora at the zapivka table following communion. After receiving communion and returning your face mask in place, please collect your cup of wine and piece of prosphora and clear the area so that others may approach the zapivka table.

3.  It is essential that you contact me if you intend to be at the Sunday Liturgy. Even if you have already been attending liturgical services, I still must be notified and your name placed on the list. Our list this weekend will be, as mentioned, limited to 25 people. People not on the list will be asked not to enter the Church.

4.  If you are not feeling well or have an elevated body temperature, you must stay home and not attend Church.

Our cooperation at the parish has been good and it is greatly appreciated. I am proud of the careful measures we have followed to ensure our safety and compliance with the efforts of the larger society. We are doing our part. Even so, we must continue to be vigilant and adaptable to changes still unfolding around us. Thank you for your efforts and cooperation.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me or any member of our parish council. I look forward to seeing everyone very soon.

In Christ.
Father Nicholas
