Parish Reopening May 30, 2020 By Invitation Only
Dear Parishioners.

As you are aware, our county (Monroe) is now yellow! Good News! It allows us to open our doors a little wider and begin making steps back to our worship and parish life. Yellow is caution, so we are reopening gradually with care and thoughtfulness.

Two big changes in our lives ... masks and social distancing practices. These will be in place at Holy Trinity. As we begin serving our liturgical services again, we will wear masks during church services. And we will limit the number of faithful who come to worship so that we can maintain proper social distancing practices.

This Sunday we will return to our regular cycle of services - Saturday evening at 6:30 pm will be Vespers and Sunday morning at 9:30 am will be Divine Liturgy. Both these will be live-streamed (see our YouTube Channel). If you do not feel well and are experiencing signs or symptoms of an acute illness (even if it isn't COVID 19) you MUST stay home and continue to worship in your prayer corner or join us through the live-stream. Likewise, if you have come into contact in the past 2 weeks with someone known to have contracted the Corona Virus, you MUST stay home and worship from there.

But now our services can allow up to 25 people. Come to Vespers on Saturday evening and, if you would like, attend the Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings. For now, attendance at these Sunday Divine Liturgies must be approved in advance. Please send me an email or call me at 570-350-1482 prior to Sunday to discuss the possibility of attending the Divine Liturgy.

If for any reason, you are not comfortable attending Church on Sunday morning please be at peace. There are very good reasons why we all need to be cautious and careful. Our parish, in part thanks to your good financial stewardship, is not going anywhere and will be ready to receive everyone in good time. And such will be a happy day when we can all enjoy peaceful fellowship again and the joys born from our community of faith as we worship and give thanks to God who has Ascended in Glory.

In Christ,
Father Nicholas
