Holy Trinity Celebrates Mortgage Burning May 3

The faithful parishioners and friends of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Stroudsburg marked the joyous occasion of their mortgage burning ceremony on Sunday morning, May 3, 2015 at 9:30 AM during the Divine Liturgy service. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence, Archbishop Mark, Archbishop of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, Archpriest Father Daniel Donlick, the first assigned pastor to Holy Trinity, and Holy Trinity’s Archpriest and first full-time and present pastor of the last thirteen years, Father Nicholas Solak. The Divine Liturgy service included a procession and blessing of the Church. Following the procession, past parish council president, David Donlick and present parish council president, Dr. Ralph Hawks along with the clergy and the faithful participated in the burning of the mortgage documents.
Afterwards, a celebration luncheon was held at Pepe’s Bistro in East Stroudsburg with a time for sharing memories of the hard work of all in the building program and mortgage completion.
Congratulations and many blessed years to the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church! Thank you to all for your commitment, dedication, perseverance and financial support through the past years. May God continue to bless Holy Trinity Orthodox Church with faith, strength and love as we move forward into the future to accomplish His Mission.
