Funeral Services for Peter Stavisky

Funeral Services for Peter Stavisky

Dear All,
As most have heard by now, Peter Stavisky passed away on Saturday, February 11th at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospital. While Peter was 96 years old, his falling asleep in the Lord came quickly. As many recall, he was just with us for Liturgy on Sunday, February 5th.

Peter’s funeral will be Friday morning at 9:30 am at Holy Trinity. Following the funeral service, he will be taken to Old Forge, PA for burial.

Originally the plan was to have the funeral service at Saint Michael’s in Old Forge but his daughter, Daria, decided today to move the funeral to our parish because of Peter’s deep connection with us - his home parish - and because Daria has felt a connection to our parish and a sincere appreciation of our affection with Peter and Helen.

There will be no viewing in the evening … simply the funeral on Friday.

Peter has been a tremendous blessing to our community. His faithfulness, generosity, love, and joyful presence has been an important example and model of Life for many. May his memory be eternal.

I hope to see you on Friday morning to gather together to pray before the Lord for the ever memorable servant of God, Peter.

In Christ,
Father Nicholas
